At our state of the art wellness center, Polaris Rejuvenation of Columbus guides men and women through an effective weight loss program that is almost always complemented by a detoxification process. These two services go hand in hand. Whenever a patient comes to us who needs to lose weight, we look at everything about their medical history and their current health and lifestyle.
We will most likely recommend a detoxification to flush toxins out of the system. All of us have toxins all through our body but especially in our gut and in our fat cells. Dr. David Garcia, after extensive research and experience, has selected and recommends a detoxification program called Clear Change™. This involves a 10-day program of protein shakes and certain supplements while eating and avoiding certain foods. The Clear Change Program enhances the body’s natural metabolic detoxification process while providing adequate fuel for both cleansing and other daily activities.
It is important to note that there is no one (simple) solution for weight loss. The programs that work are a step-by-step approach, and the steps are tweaked as time passes. Results are improved when a medical professional is implementing and tweaking these steps. Not only will Dr. Garcia help optimize your diet and nutrition, he will also optimize your hormones — such as progesterone and testosterone. He will optimize your thyroid function so that your metabolism improves, thus you are better able to burn and process the calories you eat.
There are special menus and diet plans for people with low thyroid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes — each individual has their own needs. Occasionally, if we find that the patient is resistant to the weight loss program, we may choose to jumpstart the plan with HCG, or, human chorionic gonadotropin. This hormone stimulates your body to burn fat. It does this while also maintaining muscle. If this is recommended for you, Dr. Garcia works will thoroughly explain the details of how it works.
Another therapy that is often used to enhance your weight management program is the use of supplements and IV nutritional therapy. Nutritional therapy can be used with any weight loss program, one that involves HCG or does not.
What about detoxification?
At Polaris Rejuvenation, we encourage use of the infrared sauna to reduce toxins. This is because sweating is highly recommended and very healthy for you. We may do some preliminary testing for toxins. We also may do genetic testing for some patients, to help us identify what would best help that patient to lose weight. This insight to your DNA can be very valuable in planning your diet and nutrition. We of course also provide exercise recommendations and plans. Those who follow our weight loss and detoxification program will be delighted with the results. Occasional follow-up visits will benefit the patient even further to stay on track and maintain their healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Garcia is Board-certified in Anti-aging and Regenerative medicine, and has many years of experience in functional medicine, including weight loss. We welcome your questions, and look forward to your initial visit. Contact Us for a Consultation.
